Brave Generation Show Choir

  • The Brave Generation Show Choir is made up of boys and girls in grades 9 – 12. Students can be singer/dancers, instrumentalists or on the Tech Crew. Members of the Brave Generation also share their love of music and desire to perform at various public performances.



Prerequisite

  • Grade Prerequisite:  Open to all students in Grades 9 – 12 (by Audition).

     Class/Course Prerequisites:  Must be in the Advanced Chorus Class. 



Participation Requirements

  •  Show Choir members must attend all rehearsals and performances.  Singer/dancers are required to buy their own costumes for the competition season. Students also fundraise to raise money for their personal expenses and for the department.  Brave Generation students are also encouraged to participate in the annual ISSMA Solo/Ensemble event. Participation in the Spring Musical is required (see Spring Musical description for more information).



Activities Sponsored

  • The Brave Generation co-hosts the Winter Concert in December, the ISSMA contest in late January or early February, the Winter Spectacular Show Choir Contest in mid-January, and the end of the year concert “Sparkle” in May.



Become a Member

  • Auditions are held in the spring of the previous year.  Information is sent to all schools inviting 8th grade students to audition.  Students must come prepared to auditions to sing in front of an audience and to learn a short dance.
