    We take pride in serving our students with the mission to prepare all students with the skills and tools necessary to become positive, productive members of society and to prepare them for high school. Through emphasis on respect, responsibility, reliability, as well as what it means to be a BRAVE, our students are supported, not only in their academic development, but also in their social and emotional learning. 

    Bellmont Middle School has a population of approximately 350 students in Grades 6, 7, and 8. We have an eight-period day currently consisting of a remediation/enrichment period, five core subject periods (Reading, English, Math, Science and Social Studies) and two related arts periods. For the 2019-2020 school year, grades 6, 7, and 8 related arts (RAS) classes rotate on a Red/Blue schedule. RAS classes include: Art, Keyboarding, PE, Tech. Ed, BMS Pride and a music choice: Band, Music or Choir, as well as FFA/Ag for the 8th grade.

    Congratulations to Colin Melcher for competing at Regional Contest in Diesel Service Technology and placing 2nd. He will be headed to the State competition in April.

  • Bellmont Elementary Preschool Round Up Announced

    Families that wish to register for a child to attend preschool during the 2020/2021 School Year are invited to join us at our annual Preschool Round Up event at Bellmont Elementary School. Children ages 3, 4 and 5 are eligible to attend. Preschool Round Up will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 4:30-6 PM.   • Law Enforcement Lunch Buddies Visit BES

    Hugs are a powerful way to show someone you care about them. 💙 LOTS of hugs were shared at our lunch visit today and it was such a perfect way to capture just how fortunate we are for our area law enforcement and the impact they make in our community and in the lives of our children!     Together in partnership, the Decatur Public Library, Bellmont HS Library, Adams Central Library, Bellmont History Club and ABCinema is hosting a FREE community screening event to watch the recently released film "Eva: 7063," a documentary of triumph over tragedy and forgiveness.
