Pest Control & Pesticide Notification

We, at North Adams Community Schools, are committed to providing a safe environment for our students, staff and school community [parents, visitors/guests, volunteers, substitute staff members, etc.]. Part of providing a safe environment for students includes preventing students from exposure to pests and/or pesticides. While pesticides protect our students, staff and school community from pests that may be in our school building[s] or on our school grounds and/or surrounding facilities or strucutures on the North Adams Community Schools property, in some circumstances, pesticides may also pose a hazard to the health of the people that occupy our buildings and/or grounds. Therefore, pest control practices may involve a variety of chemical and non-chemical methods that are designed to control pests effectively, while minimizing potential pesticide exposure. In an effort to protect our staff, students and school community from potential pesticide hazards, we have developed pesticide control practices as part of our Pest Control/Pesticide Safety Policy.
