Bellmont Campus Dedication Ceremony and Ribbon Cutting 

North Adams Community Schools is pleased announce a Dedication Program and Ribbon-Cutting of the Bellmont Campus to commemorate the grand opening of Bellmont Elementary School and the newly renovated Bellmont Middle School and Bellmont High School facilities. An Open House of the Bellmont Campus will immediately follow the ceremony. The event is scheduled for Thursday, November 14, 2019. The program will be hosted in the Erekson Theatre at Bellmont High School, 1000 North Adams Drive, Decatur, IN 46733.

The dedication program will include the National Anthem, led by the Brave Generation Show Choir, participation by officers of the BHS National Honor Society and messages from distinguished school community representatives. Following the official ribbon cutting, guests are invited to tour the campus and enjoy refreshments provided by students of our high school Family and Consumer Sciences course. 

"We wish to welcome the public to this historic occasion," said Brent Lehman, superintendent of North Adams Community Schools. "As we dedicate our newly constructed primary school and renovated intermediate and high schools on one campus, we are proud to serve our students of today, tomorrow and the future, united as one, with a distinction of excellence. This occasion will serve as the only milestone in our district's history when we can bring all grades preschool-12 together under one roof, for the first time, and we are honored to welcome guests to join us in this celebration with great magnitude."   

To commemorate this historic year for our district, the community is invited to purchase a Bellmont Excellence t-shirt in part of the celebration events. Shirts are navy with a front, chest logo that extends the message, "We are 1." The back of the shirt outlines: One Campus, One Pride, One Commitment, One Strength beneath the words "EXCELLENCE." Those that wish to see an example of the t-shirt or download an order form may do so by visiting the North Adams Community Schools website. Orders will be accepted between Oct. 1-Nov. 14th. Orders will be available for pick up the Central Administration Office (625 Stadium Dr.) beginning Dec. 2nd.
