Mere's Class Stomps Out Bullying

Jenni Mere's second grade classroom once again participated in bullying prevention awareness to "Stomp Out Bullying," an annual bullying prevention activity held during the month of October, as a campaign to National Bullying Prevention Month.

"Stomp Out Bullying is a national campaign that seeks to reduce and prevent all forms of bullying, including digital and cyberbullying, and improve the world through promoting diversity, inclusion and equality for all," stated Leah Thompson, communications manager for North Adams Community Schools. "The Stomp Out Bullying awareness day is an activity that Miss Mere has done with her students each year, and it is a great opportunity to teach our students the importance of promoting kindness to all people, at a young age."

Stomp Out Bullying was held on October 7th. As such, Mere's class wore the color blue in support of campaign to bring awareness to bullying prevention.

"We are grateful for opportunity to educate and engage our students in the conversation to end bullying," added Thompson. "Helping students be more aware of the dangers of bullying and preparing them with resources to respond to bullying when it occurs is an important part of preparing our students for a safer in-person and online world. We are proud to be a part of influencing a safer community!"
