BES/BMS Hosts 2020 Spelling Bee

And the 2020 Winner of the 2nd Bellmont Elementary School Spelling Bee is……Jaden Burkhead!

Jaden Burkhead, 5th grade student in Mrs. Miller’s 5th grade classroom, spelled the word “salamander” to earn the title of Champion Speller  for Bellmont Elementary.  Landon Rich, a 6th grader, missed the word “opportunity” and had to settle for Runner-up in the school Spelling Bee.

Congratulations to all of the spellers for a great effort on all of their parts, and good luck to Jaden on February 4th, at 6:00 pm at South Adams, where he will represent Bellmont Elementary School at the Adams County Spelling Bee!

Lauren Goble Reigns in 2020 Bellmont Middle School Spelling Prize

12 of the best spellers at BMS from grades 7 and 8 gathered on the BMS stage Thursday, January 9th, all hoping to to be the final speller standing, but after many rounds of exciting and vigorous competition, it was 8th grader,  Lauren Goble who stood victorious.  She spelled the word ‘exposure’ to win.  London Orme, 8th grader, missed the word “amino” to finish as the runner up champion speller.

Lauren Goble will now represent Bellmont Middle School in the Adam’s County Spelling Bee on February 4th, at South Adams, at 6:00 pm.  Good Luck Lauren!
